Advantages
Of Light Fixtures Using Medium Base Incandescent Sockets |

| The choices of
screw-in LED lamps is rapidly expanding while, at the same time, prices
are becoming more affordable. LED lamps are poised to replace the
venerable incandescent lamps. With
millions of "incandescent" light fixtures in use, the Edision medium
base screw socket (E26) should be around for quite some time.
Incandescent light fixture can utilize by far the widest range of lamp
types, shapes, beam spreads, clear or frosted, wattages,
colors or color temperatures, clear or frosted, etc. for maximum
flexibility whether it be incandecent, CFL, or future LED. |

we are not a big fan of compact fluorescent lamps, if you want to save
energy now, use self-ballasted compact fluorescents now until the right
LED lamp becomes available. | | Lumenelle's "incandescent" fixtures
are optimized to minimize the effects of the different "light centers"
between compact fluorescent lamps incandescent lamps. In addition, they
are also designed to accommodate the additional space requirements due
to the integral ballast. |

two common types of compact fluorescent lamps - PL type and self-ballasted.
At the present time, Lumenelle prefers Self-Ballasted Compact Fluorescent
Lamps for the reasons shown below. |
